What is Denplan?
Created by the UK’s largest provider of dental payment plans, Simplyhealth professionals, Denplan offers patients the option to spread the cost of treatments, offering a more manageable and affordable solution to ensure no one misses out on top-quality dental care.
Denplan was created to give patients the stability required to maintain healthy oral hygiene through regular visits that can spread over several payments.
How Does it work?
Your first visit to the practice will be an initial examination by one of our qualified dentists that will assess the current state of your oral health and the condition of your teeth.
At the end of your examination, your dentist will discuss the current condition of your teeth and the ways in which they can be improved by providing you with a bespoke treatment plan.
Your bespoke plan will inform you of exactly what treatments your teeth will require, and you only pay for exactly what you need. It’s really that easy!
What treatments does Denplan cover?
The flexibility of Denplan services means there is a range of treatments covered so that no patient feels uncatered to.
Regular Check-Ups
After settling into your dentist’s chair, we will:
- Check your jaw joints
- Examine your occlusion (bite)
- Assess if there are any infections in your gums or tongue
- Preform vital checks for oral cancer
- Record measurements of your gums for signs of gum disease
- Offer specialist oral health advice tailored specifically to you.
Denplan Essentials
The clue is in the name! Denplan Essentials is essentially a maintenance plan which has a set number of treatments available:
- Dental check-ups
- Dental hygiene visits
- Dental x-rays
- Preventive dental advice and therapy
Price: Starting from £17.50
Unlike Denplan Care, restorative treatments such as fillings are not included in this plan.
This plan also gives patients a 10% discount off of other treatments with the option of late night appointments also available.
Denplan Care
Denplan Care covers preventative and restorative oral health treatments, however patients do not require to include all treatments in their monthly plan which will be advised by an experienced dentist.
- Dental x-rays
- Dental hygiene visits
- Necessary fillings
- Necessary extractions
- Periodontal treatment
- Preventive dental advice and therapy
- Crowns, dentures, and bridgework (excluding lab fees)
- Root canal treatment (optional)

Whats not included with Denplan
Although Denplan offers patients security in knowing they are covered should they require any private dental care, it is important to know that not every treatment identified will be available depending on the condition of your current oral health.
Treatments not covered by Denplan include:
- Lab fees/prescriptions
- Referral to a specialist or specialist treatment
- Orthodontics, implants, and cosmetic treatment
- Sedation fees
- Treatment carried out elsewhere
- Extraction of wisdom teeth
